2nd Korea Inc. ("we") runs 82excel.com and the 82excel library.
1. Your files and their contents
82excel never sends your files or their contents to us. Files are read and checked only in the browser (or Node), and the free checker on our home page works the same way. A file goes to a server only when a developer turns on the upload attribute, and then only to that developer's server.
2. Usage statistics
Once a day per browser, on the first file check, the library reports only these for usage statistics:
- the domain and page URL (
origin + pathname, no query or hash) - the library version

No file name, size, contents, check result, visitor data or cookies. Nothing is sent from Node, localhost, IP addresses, single-label hosts, intranet names (.local, .internal, .corp …) or 82excel.com itself.
From these reports 82excel.com (/api/usage) keeps, per domain, only the domain, version, framework, one sample page URL, first and last seen times, number of days and number of hits. It does not store the raw IP address or the User-Agent.
To limit abuse (one IP may add at most 20 new domains a day), it stores a SHA-256 hash of the sending IP address combined with a server secret, together with the date (Korea time) and a count. The hash is used only for this limit. Each time a new domain is recorded, records dated more than two days earlier are deleted, so they usually last about three days, and longer if no new domain is recorded in between.

4. Demo upload
The upload on the demo page sends the file to our server, which does not store it: it replies with the size it received and discards the file.
5. Retention
Per-domain usage statistics (the items in section 2) are kept without a time limit. The abuse-limit IP hashes are deleted as described in section 2 (usually after about three days, later if no new domain is recorded). We do not create user accounts.
6. Cookies
Only the site operator's admin sign-in cookie (e82s_admin, HttpOnly, expires after 12 hours). Visitors get no cookies, and there are no advertising or tracking cookies. Admin sign-in attempts store the same kind of IP hash and an attempt count, to allow at most five tries in ten minutes. A successful sign-in deletes the record at once; otherwise it is deleted at the next sign-in attempt after the ten minutes have passed. Your theme choice stays in your browser's localStorage.
7. Processors
The site and its data are hosted by Cloudflare.
